Queen of Rock and Roll, Tina Turner, has just suffered another devastating loss; her son Ronnie Turner, died on December 8th, at age 62.

The 83-year-old took to Instagram the following day, writing, “Ronnie, you left the world far too early. In sorrow, I close my eyes and think of you, my beloved son.” Law enforcement responded to a 911 call to Turner’s neighborhood. The caller explained to the operator that Ronnie was outside their home and was having difficulty breathing. Prior to officers arriving, Ronnie was given CPR but was pronounced dead at the scene upon the arrival of paramedics.

It was soon revealed that Ronnie’s cause of death was cancer-related. Autopsy results confirm that Ronnie died from “complications of metastatic colon carcinoma.” The coroner says the cancer was stage 4. He was diagnosed only three weeks before his death. It’s also determined Ronnie battled atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease at the time of death — which is a buildup of fats and cholesterol in the arteries.

Ronnie had made a name for himself in the 90’s Drama Film, What’s Love Got to Do with It: the story of his mother’s rise to stardom.

This is the second son of Tina that she has lost. Her second and adopted son, Craig, commit suicide in 2018. At age 59, Craig Turner was found dead in his Los Angeles home, dying of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
