‘The Ellen Show’s Beloved DJ Twitch Dead by Suicide

Stephen Boss, best known as ‘DJ tWitch’ the guest DJ for The Ellen Degeneres Show, was found dead in a motel room in Los Angeles. On the scene, Boss was found with a self-inflicted gunshot to the head.

The TV personality originally gained a platform through his appearance on the reality TV show ‘So You Think You Can Dance.’ Boss was a bubbly personality, known for his comedic, and dance-based conversation, he was beloved by the shows community; he went by his nickname ‘tWitch’, which he had earned at school for never being able to sit still. He became a judge for the reality show years after being embraced by the series for years to come. Becoming a TV sensation led the dancer and judge to continue his career as a DJ. Boss had become a guest star DJ on The Ellen Show, before becoming family to those on the show, becoming Ellen’s full-time music mixer.

Boss’s wife, Allison Holker, contacted LAPD, explaining that she had not been in contact with Stephen, seen his car, or had any idea where he was for over a day. Shortly after, at around 11:15 A.M., paramedics arrived at an LA motel, responding to a call by motel cleaning staff. The cleaners had found a man with a gunshot wound to his head. The man’s identity was revealed shortly after as Stephen Boss, dead on the scene. TMZ reveals that a suicide note was scavenged from the bloody motel scene. The note itself nor his motives were released, but it was stated that the DJ was dealing with past issues, and suffering silently.

Dozens of celebrities have come together to give their condolences to Stephen’s wife and three children.
